of Atonement |
| THIS IS THE
ONE! Commissioned by the National African-American Leadership Summit
as the Official Poster of the Million Man March, held on Monday,
October 16th, 1995 in Washington, D.C., the "Day of Atonement" is
the landmark commemorative history you can keep. Dynamically rendered
by artist Michael Anthony Brown, "Day of Atonement" is the incredible,
indelible image of those who marched...and why. The central image
of the poster is an escaped slave, whose whipmarks are the American
flag. Gathered around this image are Brothers from the office, from
the 'hood, from the temples and from the churches. These men came,
over one million strong, to confront their past and dedicate themselves
to our future. The "Day of Atonement" poster is a large eye-catching
24" x 34" with unique Black-on-Black lettering with colors as rich
and as vibrant as the men who came to Washington. |
